Description
Meet the 2027 Polaris 850 TITAN® Adventure Ultimate 155 1.8, a widetrack touring sled that’s equal parts backcountry workhorse and two-up escape machine—finished in so it looks as bold parked at the cabin as it feels ripping down a windswept trail.
At the heart of it is Polaris’ Patriot™ 840cc twin—liquid-cooled, 2-stroke, fuel-injected, and built in a horizontal in-line layout with reed valve induction. In plain terms: it’s the kind of power that fires up ready to play, with the convenience of electric start (and the reassurance of a pull start backup) and the simplicity of running on regular fuel with oil injection. Power delivery stays smooth and easy to manage thanks to a CVT transmission and belt drive, and when the trail turns tight or the parking spot gets awkward, reverse is there to keep things stress-free. You stay in control with a classic thumb throttle and a tough Titan Hydraulic braking system with a hydraulic disc rear brake for confident slowing and stopping.
The TITAN name matters most when the snow gets deep and the miles get long. This machine rides on a Cobra Track that’s a serious platform: 155 inches long, a full 20 inches wide, with 1.8-inch lugs ready to claw for forward bite. Add the stable stance—adjustable between 39 and 41 inches—and you get a sled that feels planted and predictable when conditions go from hardpack to powder to chopped-up drift fields in the span of a single afternoon. It’s long too, measuring 133 inches, with a wide 46.5-inch footprint and a tall, trail-commanding 56-inch height—big-sled presence that translates to big-sled confidence.
Suspension is where “Adventure Ultimate” earns its keep. Up front, the High Clearence IFS uses an independent A-arm design with 9 inches of travel, paired with Polaris IFP adjustable hydraulic shocks and shock-mounted adjustment so you can tune the ride without turning your trip into a garage session. Out back, the BackTrak20 rear suspension brings 16.5 inches of travel with two rear shocks (also Polaris IFP adjustable hydraulics) plus a Fox® QS3 center shock with a remote reservoir—again, adjustable, so you can dial it for solo exploring, loaded gear, or a passenger along for the ride.
And yes, it’s truly built for two. The two-piece vinyl seat accommodates driver and passenger, and the passenger gets a dedicated backrest—a small detail that makes a big difference when the day goes from “quick loop” to “let’s see what’s over the next ridge.” Cold hands? Not today. With heated, adjustable grips for both driver and passenger, you can stay comfortable even when the temperature drops and the miles keep stacking up. There’s also a high, folding LED setup for visibility and practicality—bright when you need it, out of the way when you don’t.
Tech and trail guidance come together with RIDE COMMAND™ GPS, plus Bluetooth® audio and mobile app instrumentation to keep your ride connected and your information easy to access. Quick-glance warnings and readouts—like a fuel level gauge and a temperature warning light—help you stay focused on the ride instead of wondering what’s going on under the hood.
Practical touches round out the package: a receiver rear hitch for towing duty, skid-resistant running boards for secure footing, and protection items like a belt guard and snow guard. Under it all is the AXYS® aluminum frame, keeping the structure strong, and the sled rolls on TrailBreaker plastic skis with carbide skags for confident tracking.
In , this TITAN doesn’t just say “let’s ride”—it says “let’s go farther,” with comfort for two, capability for the rough stuff, and the kind of wide-track stability that turns winter into your favorite season on purpose.
