Description

Meet the 2027 Polaris ProStar S4 INDY® XC® 137, a trail-built sled that shows up in like it already knows the way to your favorite ribbon of groomed corners. (If you’re the kind of rider who likes options, this model is also offered in Gloss Black and INDY® Red / White Lightning / Gloss Black—but this one wears with attitude.)

At the heart of it is Polaris’ ProStar™ power: a 998cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin that’s all about clean, modern response. It’s fuel injected, runs on regular fuel, and fires up with an electric start, so cold mornings feel a lot less dramatic. Thumb the throttle and let the CVT do the translating—smooth belt-driven drive with the kind of “always in the right place” pull that makes trail miles disappear. And when the trail gets tight or the parking situation gets awkward, reverse is there to save you from the ol’ shuffle-and-push routine.

This INDY® XC® is built around the MATRYX aluminum frame, giving it that purposeful, rider-forward feel without forgetting that long days are a thing. You’re planted in a one-piece vinyl seat, feet on skid-resistant boards, hands on rubber grips with adjustable heated hand grips ready to turn “late-season cold” into “keep riding.” Hand guards help cut wind, and the sled comes equipped with the practical extras you want on a real trail machine—like a belt guard and snow guard—so you can focus on lines, not logistics.

Up front, the independent A-arm suspension (MATRYX) delivers 9.5 inches of travel, paired with Polaris TS adjustable gas shocks with remote reservoirs. Out back, the PRO-CC rear suspension brings 16.2 inches of travel with two rear shocks, plus a matching Polaris TS center shock—also adjustable and remote-reservoir equipped. Translation: whether you’re cruising smooth groomers or dealing with surprise chop, you’ve got the tuning range to keep it composed and comfortable without turning the ride into a wrestling match.

Steering is straightforward and direct—manual handlebar control—and the sled rides on Pro-Steer™ composite skis with dual carbide skags for confident bite. Out back, the Cobra Track measures 137 x 15 with 1.35-inch lugs, a sweet spot for trail traction and stability that keeps you hooked up when conditions get loose while still feeling playful when the corners stack up.

Stopping power comes from an S4 Stealth brake with a hydraulic disc setup—strong, consistent control when the pace picks up or the trail suddenly reminds you that corners are, in fact, real.

And because modern rides deserve modern info, this one brings RIDE COMMAND™ GPS, Bluetooth® Audio, and mobile app instrumentation, along with LED lighting and smart warnings like a temperature light and a fuel gauge. With an 11.5-gallon tank, it’s ready for real-distance days—more riding, fewer “who’s got the gas can?” conversations.

Sized at 120 inches long and weighing in at 594 lbs dry, the 2027 Polaris ProStar S4 INDY® XC® 137 strikes that satisfying balance: substantial enough to feel planted at speed, responsive enough to keep things fun when the trail turns twisty. In , it’s not just ready to ride—it looks like it was built to lead the group there.
