Dressed in , the 2027 Polaris 850 RMK® SPS 146 ES looks like it was born to point uphill and keep going. This is a purpose-built mountain sled that feels light on its feet thanks to the MATRYX aluminum frame and a trim 447 lb dry weight, making it eager to hop from line to line when the terrain turns playful.
Crack the thumb throttle and the 840cc Patriot™ twin comes alive with crisp, fuel-injected response. It’s a liquid-cooled, 2-stroke, reed-valve setup that runs on regular fuel with oil injection, so you can focus on the next climb instead of your mix ratio. Power flows through a CVT with belt drive and a proven P-85 / TEAM LWT clutch combo, giving you that smooth, ready-now pull that’s perfect for technical trees, sidehills, and quick corrections. And when the moment calls for a reset, you’ve got reverse and an electric starter to keep things simple.
Up front, the RMK® React™ independent A-arm suspension pairs with Walker Evans Racing (WER®) adjustable gas shocks with remote reservoirs, giving you precise steering feel and the confidence to charge into chopped-up approaches. Out back, the RMK rear suspension delivers 16 inches of travel with Polaris IFP adjustable gas shocks (including the center shock), helping the sled stay composed when the snow turns unpredictable.
The business end is all mountain attitude: a Series 6 track at 146 x 15 with 2.6-inch lugs to bite into soft snow and keep momentum where it belongs—forward and up. Composite Gripper® skis with carbide skags add predictable edge and control, while the ProTaper™ handlebar and adjustable heated grips keep you comfortable when the ride gets long and the air gets sharp.
