Description

Meet the 2027 Polaris 850 RMK® SPS 155 7S—a mountain sled that looks ready to sneak into the timber and then loudly announce itself the moment you squeeze the thumb. Finished in , it wears its attitude with a clean, purpose-built style (and if you’re the type who likes options, this model is also offered in Gloss Black or INDY® Red / White Lightning / Gloss Black).

At the heart of this RMK is the Patriot™ 840: a liquid-cooled, 2-cylinder, horizontal in-line, 2-stroke built to feel lively and responsive when the terrain gets steep and the snow gets deep. It’s fuel injected (gas/oil injected) and happy on regular fuel, with a single exhaust note that makes every pull-out feel like a proper departure. Starting is old-school and satisfying with a pull starter, and power is fed through a CVT with belt drive, backed by reverse for the moments when the hillside says, “Nice try—do it again.”

Everything about the chassis is shaped around mountain movement. The MATRYX aluminum frame keeps things tight and purposeful, while the sled’s 126.7-inch overall length and 43.4-inch width strike a balance between stability and agility. At a dry weight of 425 lb and with 11 gallons of fuel capacity, it’s built for long, exploratory days—those rides where “just one more bowl” turns into a full-on backcountry tour.

Up front, the RMK® React™ independent A-arm suspension brings 9 inches of travel, with shock-mounted adjustment so you can tune it for changing snow and changing ambitions. Polaris IFP adjustable gas shocks (coil-over up front) help keep the front end composed when you’re picking your way through chop or transitioning from sidehill to straight climb. Out back, the RMK rear suspension delivers a generous 16 inches of travel with two rear shocks plus a center shock, all Polaris IFP adjustable gas, giving you that controlled, predictable feel when the terrain turns rowdy.

Then there’s what really writes the story behind the sled: the Series 8 track, 155 inches long and 15 inches wide, with big 2.75-inch lugs that are eager to dig in and keep driving. It’s the kind of setup that encourages you to point at the untouched line, commit, and let the chassis and track do the convincing.

Control points are pure rider-first. You steer with a ProTaper™ handlebar on a manual system that keeps feedback direct and natural. The thumb throttle feels intuitive in technical terrain, and when temperatures drop, the adjustable heated driver grips keep hands comfortable without killing the vibe. Underfoot, the driver-position floorboards are skid resistant, and details like a belt guard and snow guard are there because real rides don’t happen in perfect conditions.

For stopping power when gravity gets opinionated, the sled uses an RMK® hydraulic disc rear brake. Up front, Gripper® plastic skis paired with carbide skags help the sled hold a line when you want precision—whether you’re setting up for a turn or threading through tighter spots.

And because modern adventures deserve modern awareness, this RMK brings RIDE COMMAND™ GPS, paired with LED lighting and practical warnings like a temperature light and a fuel gauge. It’s a smart touch that fits the sled’s mission: go farther, ride sharper, and keep the fun meter pegged.

In , this 850 RMK® SPS 155 7S doesn’t just look the part—it’s built to live for the moments when the trail ends and the mountain begins.
