Description

Meet the 2027 Polaris Patriot 9R RMK® SPS 155 ES in —a mountain sled that looks as sharp parked at the trailhead as it feels once the snow turns deep and the terrain turns vertical. (If you’re color-shopping, this model is also offered in Gloss Black or INDY® Red / White Lightning / Gloss Black—but there’s something about that just fits the whole “let’s go find the untouched stuff” vibe.)

At the heart of it is the Patriot 9R: an 899cc, liquid-cooled, 2-cylinder, 2-stroke built to respond with that crisp, fuel-injected urgency the mountains demand. With reed-valve induction and electronic fuel injection, it’s designed to stay snappy when you’re modulating power through a sidehill or rolling into the throttle to clear a wind lip. It runs on regular fuel, uses oil injection, and breathes out through a single exhaust—simple, purposeful, and ready to work.

Power delivery stays smooth and predictable thanks to a CVT transmission with belt drive, paired with a P-22 / TEAM LWT clutch setup. When you’re weaving through trees or setting up a technical turn, that kind of consistent engagement matters. And when it’s time to back out of a tight spot (because it happens), reverse is there to save the day. Starting is classic and straightforward with a pull starter—no drama, just grab and go.

The RMK® personality really shows up in the chassis and suspension. The MATRYX aluminum frame keeps things light and responsive, and at 445 lb dry, the sled feels eager to change direction and hold a line when the snow gets weird. Up front, the RMK® React™ independent A-arm suspension offers 9 inches of travel, giving you the confidence to stay composed when the terrain turns choppy. Out back, the RMK® KHAOS® rear suspension brings 16 inches of travel and uses two rear shocks to keep the sled planted when you’re on the gas—or controlled when you’re not.

And those shocks aren’t “set it and forget it” placeholders. You’re getting WER® Velocity adjustable gas shocks with remote reservoirs up front, in the rear, and at the center—each with shock-mounted adjustment. Translation: you can tune the feel to match the day, whether that’s playful and poppy for boondocking or calmer and more composed for long pulls into the backcountry.

The interface between you and the mountain is dialed for control. The ProTaper™ handlebar with manual steering feels natural for stand-up riding, while the thumb throttle keeps things intuitive when you’re feathering inputs. There’s heated, adjustable driver grips for those mornings when the air bites back, plus a low LED headlight (tinted) for clean visibility when the day runs late.

Underneath, the setup is all about traction and bite. The Series 8 track measures 155 x 15 with a serious 2.75-inch lug, built to churn through deep snow and keep forward drive when the climb gets real. Up front, Gripper® skis with carbide skags help the sled track and hold edges when you need precision more than float.

Practical details round it out: an 11-gallon fuel capacity for staying out longer, a hydraulic disc rear brake from RMK® for dependable stopping power, and smart touches like a fuel gauge, a temperature warning light, a belt guard, and a snow guard. It’s a single-seat, one-piece vinyl setup—because this is a mountain machine, and the passenger is always the next line you’re about to draw.

In , this 9R RMK® SPS doesn’t just look ready—it *acts* ready. Point it uphill, pick your mark, and let it do what it was built to do.
