Description
Meet the 2027 Polaris 850 RMK® SP 155 in —a mountain sled that looks like it was built to point at the next ridgeline and say, “We’re going there.” (And yes, the model comes in White Lightning / Gloss Black / Orange Burst, but this one wears like it owns the backcountry.)
At the heart of it is the Patriot™ 840cc, liquid-cooled, 2-stroke twin—fuel-injected and oil-injected—so it’s ready to light off with a classic pull-start and get straight to work. Crack the thumb throttle and the CVT transmission keeps the power smooth and responsive, while the belt drive and P-85 / TEAM LWT clutching help it stay right in the sweet spot when the terrain turns from “trail” into “figure it out.”
The MATRYX aluminum frame keeps things purpose-built and mountain-minded, and the whole package feels eager without being bulky—especially when you remember it’s carrying an 11-gallon fuel capacity for the kind of days that start with “just a quick rip” and end with sunset plans. With a one-piece vinyl seat and a clean, rider-focused layout, it’s all about staying centered and in control when you’re sidehilling, hopping, or picking a line through technical snow.
Up front, the RMK® React™ independent A-arm suspension with 9 inches of travel teams with adjustable Polaris IFP gas shocks to keep the skis planted and predictable when things get choppy or off-camber. Those Gripper® skis (with carbide skags) are there to help you hold a line when the snow firms up, while the ProTaper™ handlebar gives you that direct, confident steering feel that makes quick corrections feel natural—not frantic.
Out back, the RMK rear suspension brings 16 inches of travel and a two-shock setup, again with adjustable Polaris IFP gas shocks (plus a Polaris IFP center shock) so you can dial things in for your style and your snow. And then there’s the business end: a Series 8 track measuring 155 x 15 with 2.75-inch lugs—built to claw, float, and drive forward when the hill tries to vote “no.”
Practical touches keep the fun uninterrupted: hydraulic disc braking with RMK® branding for controlled check-ups, reverse for the moments when gravity (or a tight spot) wins an argument, and the little details that matter in the cold—heated, adjustable driver grips, skid-resistant boards, plus belt and snow guards. The LED lighting is tinted and low-height, giving you a sleek look while still keeping visibility on your side, and the sled keeps you informed with a fuel level gauge and a temperature warning light.
Overall, this 850 RMK® SP 155 feels like the perfect kind of trouble: light on excuses, heavy on capability, and always ready to turn fresh snow into fresh stories.
